Today, Aquastore tanks are found in virtually every segment of the water market. Texas Aquastore offers a turnkey project including foundation, tank and field construction. We can supply the engineer with drawings, specifications, tank and foundation designs, to assist the engineer thru the design stage of a project. The factory-applied silica glass coating on Aquastore tanks forms a hard, inert barrier for both the interior and exterior surfaces of the tank. The glass is fired over the steel at 1500 degrees which produces a glass to steel bond strength of 5000 psi. The bond strength does not allow corrosion to start between the glass and steel, stripping off the coating as field applied coatings do. Therefore, with glass you eliminate expensive re-coating cost and down time. Sheet edges is where corrosion will likely begin in a factory coated bolted tank. Aquastore, recognized this weakness and developed a proprietary Edgecoat process. This process produces a barrier coating along the sheet edge, no other bolted manufacturer has this technology.
